OUR CAT CARE RULES

To protect and safeguard our furry residents, staff members and customers, we ask everyone to adhere to these rules to ensure that your experience at the Catfe is enjoyable, memorable and safe.

  • Our catfé is primarily booking only & each guest must provide their full name & contact details.

  • Every customer must consent to our rules & terms & conditions.

  • Please check your footwear – ask a staff member for a wipe if your shoes are dirty.

  • Please sanitise your hands (with gel) on arrival.

  • Do not feed our cats & cover your food and drink if approached on the table. Please ask a member of staff to assist if necessary.

  • Do not bring cat toys or catnip from outside into the café without letting a staff member know.

  • Please don’t disturb sleeping cats.

  • Do not chase, pick up or pull the cats - let them come to you.

  • Do not put your face to the cats or kiss our cats for hygiene reasons.

  • Don’t force the cats to play if they don’t want to, i.e., if they are resting.

  • Feel free to take and share photos, but no flash as this will hurt their eyes.

  • Do not make loud noises around the cats & walk around calmly.

  • Take care not to hurt the cats with hot food or drinks & watch where you are walking.

  • Always follow advice from our staff, & do not be disheartened if you are told to not do something as they only have the cats’ welfare in mind.

  • Please remember all cats have different personalities & temperaments like humans. We take no responsibility for scratches or bites due to forced interaction.

  • Should any cat hiss or show signs of aggression, please leave completely alone & ask a member of staff for assistance.

We do welcome children into our catfé to learn the importance of caring for animals under the following guidelines:

  • Children over 6 years only are allowed in the catfé

  • We do limit the number of children in the catfé at any one time to keep a calm atmosphere for our cats.

  • We ask you to educate your children in advance by talking through the same rules as above & why they are important.

  • We may have to ask you to leave if they are acting inappropriately or not following the rules.

  • Children are to be strictly supervised at all times when interacting with the cats & keep their faces at a safe distance.
